I hope you enjoyed the recent holiday with your family. We were also happy to host so many of you on campus for our annual Halloween celebration.
On Friday of this week, we have Parent-Teacher-Student conferences in the secondary school. In addition, on that same day we will have a parent coffee in the elementary school focusing on child protection. Child protection is one of the most important responsibilities of any school. Here at ACS we have a robust system of child protection, and we audit our system regularly using a tool from the Global Safeguarding Collaborative. If you want to learn more about our child protection system, we invite you to the coffee on Friday.
I would like to remind our whole community to vote either for or against the proposed change to the bylaws. As per our board bylaws, the voting will be open until midnight on Thursday, the 13th of November. An individualized ballot has been delivered to the registered email of all members in good standing.
Finally, please remember that Friday, the 14th of November, is a holiday declared by the La Paz Department.

Espero que hayan disfrutado del feriado reciente con sus familias. Nos alegró mucho recibir a tantos de ustedes en el campus para nuestra celebración anual de Halloween.
El viernes de esta semana, tendremos las conferencias de padres-profesores-alumnos en secundaria. Además, ese mismo día, tendremos el café para padres en primaria con el tema de la protección infantil. La protección infantil es una de las responsabilidades más importantes de cualquier colegio. En ACS, contamos con un sólido sistema de protección infantil y lo auditamos periódicamente utilizando una herramienta de la Global Safeguarding Collaborative. Si desean obtener mayor información sobre nuestro sistema de protección infantil, los invitamos al café del viernes.
Me gustaría recordar a todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad que voten a favor o en contra de la propuesta de modificación de los estatutos. Según los estatutos de nuestra directiva, la votación estará abierta hasta la medianoche del jueves 13 de noviembre. Se ha enviado una boleta individual al correo electrónico registrado de todos los miembros que están al día con los pagos.
Finalmente, recuerden que el viernes 14 de noviembre es un día festivo declarado por el departamento de La Paz.
