This will be my last message of 2022. This year has been a year of change for ACS. If you recall, last year at this time we had to go virtual due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. Luckily, as the year progressed the pandemic receded further into the past, and we came roaring back with many events and activities. After the long absence of activities, I hope you will forgive us if we erred on the side of having too many.
I also want to say thank you to the groups of parents, students, and staff members who participated in the interviews of our candidates for the director of learning and teaching position. There was a great deal of commonality in the feedback that came from all the groups. So, we hope to make an offer soon.
In addition, you may have noticed a few facilities changes around campus. By popular request, we have installed some additional sun shades for the outdoor tables, and our bathrooms now have hooks on which to hang belongings. Thank you to those who alerted us to these needs and thereby helped make the campus more comfortable for everyone.
If you think that something that belongs to you might be in our lost and found, please make it a priority to check during this week. We still have numerous items, and after Wednesday, we will be donating the lost and found to charity.
Finally, I want to wish all of you a joyful holiday season with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing faculty back on the 11th and students on the 12th of January.

Este será mi último mensaje de 2022. Este año ha sido un año de cambios para ACS. Si recuerdan bien, el año pasado en esta época, tuvimos que volver a la enseñanza virtual debido a un aumento en los casos de COVID-19. Afortunadamente, a medida que fue avanzando el año, la pandemia retrocedió más hacia el pasado y regresamos con muchos eventos y actividades. También quiero agradecer a los grupos de padres, alumnos y miembros del personal que participaron en las entrevistas de nuestros candidatos para el puesto de director de aprendizaje y enseñanza. Today starts our last full week of school before the holiday break. Our elementary school is busy with their final activities and preparation for the holiday concerts. In the secondary school, students are completing their final assessments and projects before the semester ends. They may need some extra encouragement during this busy week. Next week, we will have two full days of school on Monday and Tuesday. Then, on Wednesday, the 21st of December, all students will be dismissed at noon to start the break.
As a safety reminder, please refrain from parking in the striped crosswalks around the school. This creates a dangerous environment for students crossing the streets.
Furthermore, remember that we are offering two holiday swim times this week. The times are: Friday, December 16th from 3:30 – 5:30 PM, and Saturday, December 17th from 9:30 – 11:30 AM. Parents are responsible for supervising their children at these events.
Finally, don't forget our ES holiday concerts on Monday and Tuesday of next week, the 19th and 20th of December.

Hoy comienza nuestra última semana completa de clases antes de las vacaciones. Los alumnos de primaria están ocupados con sus actividades finales y la preparación para los conciertos festivos. En Secundaria, los alumnos están terminando sus evaluaciones y proyectos finales antes de que termine el semestre. Es probable que necesiten un apoyo adicional durante esta semana ocupada. This past week and weekend, ACS was delighted to host the “Calvert Cup” and the Middle School Friendship Games. It was wonderful to see so many students and families here on campus competing in the spirit of friendship. I'm thankful to our athletic director, all our coaches as well as our facilities team for all of their hard work in making these events possible. Thank you.
In addition to these big events, I am also proud of the opportunities that many of our teachers create for our students to demonstrate their learning to an authentic audience. I recently learned an artistic technique called false markettery from secondary art students at one such event. At another event, I learned about tourist destinations all over Bolivia from 5th grade Spanish students. These kinds of events require students to consolidate their knowledge to a high degree. Thank you teachers for providing them.
Our end-of-semester activities continue this week with our last Parents as Partners presentation tomorrow at 10 AM. Then, on Wednesday, our 11th and 12th graders will hear from community members about university and career paths. The week will end with student presentations in the theater at 6:00 PM on both Thursday and Friday evenings.
This week we will also open the possibility of parents delivering hot food. You should soon receive more details from our facilities' manager. For your convenience, during delivery times, we will also make the lost and found items available just inside the new entrance in front of the administration building. With the return of so many on campus activities, we have accumulated a large amount of lost and found and will need to donate to charity what is not collected after the 21st of December.
In addition, I would like to announce that ACS will host free-of-charge the following holiday fun swim sessions for students and parents. Please note, parents will be responsible for their children at these events. The times are: Friday, December 9th & 16th from 3:30 – 5:30 PM, and Saturday, December 10th & 17th from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.
Finally, please be on the lookout for invitations to our KG3 through 1st grade concert on 19 December, and our grade 2 through grade 5 concert on 20 December.

La semana y el fin de semana pasados, el ACS tuvo el placer de organizar la “Copa Calvert” y los Juegos de la Amistad de Intermedio. Fue maravilloso ver tantos alumnos y familias aquí en el campus, compitiendo con un espíritu de amistad. Estoy agradecido con nuestro director atlético, todos nuestros entrenadores y nuestro equipo de instalaciones por todo su arduo trabajo para hacer posible estos eventos. Gracias.
Además de estos grandes eventos, también estoy orgulloso de las oportunidades que muchos de nuestros profesores crean para que nuestros alumnos puedan demostrar su aprendizaje a una audiencia auténtica. Recientemente, en uno de esos eventos, aprendí de los alumnos de arte de secundaria una técnica artística llamada mercadotecnia falsa. En otro evento, aprendí de los alumnos de quinto grado sobre destinos turísticos de toda Bolivia. Este tipo de eventos hacen que los alumnos consoliden sus conocimientos en un alto grado. Gracias queridos profesores por brindarlos.
Nuestras actividades de fin de semestre continúan esta semana con nuestra última presentación de Padres como Socios mañana a las 10 a.m. Luego, el miércoles, nuestros alumnos de los grados 11 y 12 escucharan de los miembros de la comunidad acerca de las trayectorias universitarias y profesionales. La semana culminará con presentaciones de los alumnos en el teatro a las 6:00 p.m. el jueves y viernes.
Esta semana también abriremos la posibilidad de que los padres puedan traer comida caliente. Pronto recibirán mayores detalles de nuestro gerente de instalaciones. I hope you had a restful and joyful Thanksgiving break. Today marks the start of one of the busiest seasons in the life of ACS. We have athletic competitions this week, and all the holiday activities are coming up in addition to the normal end-of-semester activities.
This week's special events will start tomorrow with a pep rally for the whole school at 10:40 AM. Then the "Calvert Cup" will start on Wednesday and run through Friday. Overlapping with these games will be the Middle School Friendship Games. They will start on Thursday and run through Saturday. Students who are not athletes will attend classes, but teachers may take students to support our teams when possible. Secondary school students should be advised that the times of classes will stay the same throughout the week, but there will be a special sequence of periods on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, the first of December, the Secondary School sequence of periods will be: 1, 8*, 7*, 3, 2**. On Friday, the second of December the Secondary School sequence of periods will be: 7, 8, 4*, 5*, 6*. The Elementary School sequence will not be altered. Additionally, AP student athletes will have some special instructions from their teachers. Finally, on Sunday, there will be a special event on campus entitled "cocinado por una causa". This event is put on by an external organization in support of charity.
As there are many other events approaching, reviewing a list of some of those events may be helpful.

Tenemos competencias atléticas esta semana, y todas las actividades navideñas se aproximan además de las actividades normales de fin de semestre.
Los eventos especiales de esta semana comenzarán mañana con el Pep Rally para todo el colegio a las 10:40 a.m. Luego, la "Copa Calvert" comenzará el miércoles y se extenderá hasta el viernes. This week is a short week as there will be no school for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and Friday. As a reminder, you can always find the list of important school dates including school holidays on the Cougar Hub. I'll also attach a link in my message for convenience.
Tomorrow marks a milestone in the cultural life of our school. It marks the first time after the pandemic that we will host an event in our theater solely dedicated to the Arts. This event that will reopen our theater will be performed by our seventh grade students at 6 PM tomorrow, the 22nd of November. It also starts a series of events that will take us into the holiday season.
Wednesday will also mark STEAM day in our elementary school. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. We have a special coordinator at ACS who is responsible for bringing together our efforts to integrate these fields. The special activities on STEAM day are part of that effort.
Today, I would also like to make a bitter-sweet announcement. After 31 years of service to ACS, Mrs. Maria Inarra has announced that she will be leaving us at the end of this academic year in June. At the end of next semester, we look forward to celebrating the impact she has had on so many lives over these years, and also celebrating the next chapter in her life with her. While it is sad to see her go, we know that her work has left an indelible, lasting impact on our school and community. Maria is also actively involved in guiding our international search for her replacement.
Finally, as the Bolivian fiscal year winds down, I would like to give you a gentle reminder to make sure your account is up-to-date with our cafeteria provider. If you are like me, your balance may have dipped below zero without knowing it. They are currently supporting many delinquent accounts and could use all our help in settling them.

Mañana marca un hito en la vida cultural de nuestro colegio. Es la primera vez después de la pandemia que organizaremos un evento en nuestro teatro dedicado exclusivamente a las artes. Este evento que reabrirá nuestro teatro será realizado por nuestros alumnos de séptimo grado, mañana 22 de noviembre a las 18:00 horas. También es el inicio de una serie de eventos que nos llevarán a la temporada navideña.
El miércoles también marcará el día STEAM en primaria. STEAM significa ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas. Tenemos un coordinador especial en ACS quien es responsable de unir nuestros esfuerzos para integrar estos campos. Las actividades especiales del día STEAM forman parte de ese esfuerzo.
Hoy, también quiero hacer un anuncio agridulce. Después de 31 años de servicio en ACS, La señora María Inarra ha anunciado que nos dejará al final de este año académico en junio. A finales del próximo semestre, esperamos celebrar el impacto que ha tenido en tantas vidas durante estos años, y también celebrar el próximo capítulo de su vida. Si bien es triste verla partir, sabemos que su trabajo ha dejado un impacto indeleble y duradero en nuestro colegio y comunidad. María también estará participando activamente en guiar nuestra búsqueda internacional para su reemplazo.

We have a number of activities that you can be involved in this week. First, we are pleased to invite you to the second installment of our Parents as Partners / Cougar Parent University Series entitled, "Manage Your Family’s Screen-Time So It Doesn’t Manage You!" with Joy Marchese. In the first session Joy helped us to see a truth that we parents might not like to hear. Namely, that we struggle managing our screen time just as much as our children do. She also gave us some techniques and skills to help our families explore this area together. Now, we invite everyone to return to this topic tomorrow (Tuesday) in our theater at 10 AM. You can also join us virtually from wherever you are. If you come to the theater, we welcome you to stay on after the session for a short conversation with our counselors and technology teachers. Finally, on Saturday the 19th of November, we will host a KG3 Open House. This is an important event during which we showcase our school to our youngest potential students. It starts at 10 AM. This past week, I accompanied our student athletes to the Friendship Games in Cochabamba. Our teams brought back first place in girls volleyball and second place in girls and boys soccer, as well as boys volleyball. Our cheerleaders also put on a great performance and cheered on our athletes throughout the event. These events make memories that will last a lifetime, and I felt privileged to be a part of it.
On a different note, tomorrow we will host the directors of local pre-schools to help promote ACS to our youngest potential students. These steps are exciting because they ensure and shape the long-term future of ACS. Then on Wednesday, we are hosting an HPV vaccination clinic. Parents of eligible students will have received a note from our school doctor. Please contact her for additional details. It is not too late to sign up.
In addition, I'm again pleased to invite a randomly selected group of parents to breakfast on Friday morning. Also concerning our long-term future, we have been receiving applications from talented people from all over the world for our Director of Learning and Teaching position. This position will work alongside our senior leadership team starting next August. They will help connect our ACS teachers and students to the world and the world to our ACS teachers and students. We will be inviting interview panelists from all of our stakeholder groups to be a part of the selection process.

La semana pasada, acompañé a nuestros atletas a los Juegos de la Amistad en Cochabamba. Nuestros equipos trajeron consigo el primer lugar en voleibol femenino y el segundo lugar en fútbol femenino y masculino, así como también en voleibol masculino. Nuestras porristas también realizaron una gran actuación y animaron a nuestros atletas durante todo el evento. Estos eventos crean recuerdos que perdurarán toda la vida, y me sentí privilegiado de ser parte de ellos.
En otro tema, mañana recibiremos a los directores de las escuelas preescolares locales para ayudar a promover el ACS a nuestros alumnos potenciales más jóvenes. Estos pasos son emocionantes porque aseguran y dan forma al futuro a largo plazo de ACS. Luego, el miércoles, estamos organizando una clínica de vacunación contra el VPH. Happy Halloween! Of course, our big celebrations took place last week. On Friday, we had both the Halloween parade in the elementary school and our whole school Halloween fair in the evening. It was obvious that the pandemic has created pent-up demand for such events because we had an incredible turnout. Our best estimate is that more than 500 people came to the Halloween fair. The crowd was positive, enthusiastic, and fun. It was wonderful to see our campus so alive again.
This week will also be a busy one at ACS, but remember there is no school on Wednesday in honor of All Souls' Day. The exciting focus for this week will be the friendship games. On Tuesday, the whole school will join together in a pep rally in our gym to inspire and encourage our Cougar athletes before they head off to Cochabamba to compete. Our teams will leave La Paz on Wednesday afternoon, and compete on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I am excited to join them to cheer them on and to meet with the leaders of the other schools and look for ways that we can deepen our collaboration for our mutual benefit. Consequently, there will not be a breakfast with the superintendent this Friday, but this new event will return the following week.

¡Feliz Halloween! Por supuesto, nuestra gran celebración tuvo lugar la semana pasada. El viernes tuvimos el desfile de Halloween de primaria, y por la noche tuvimos la feria de Halloween para todo el colegio. Obviamente, la pandemia ha creado una demanda acumulada para este tipo de eventos ya que tuvimos una participación increíble. Estimamos que más de 500 personas asistieron a la feria de Halloween. La multitud fue positiva, entusiasta y divertida. Fue maravilloso ver nuestro campus tan lleno de vida nuevamente.
Esta semana también será muy ocupada en ACS, pero recuerden que no hay clases el miércoles en honor al Día de las Almas. El enfoque emocionante de esta semana serán los Juegos de la Amistad. El martes, todo el colegio se reunirá en el gimnasio para inspirar y alentar a nuestros atletas Cougar antes de su partida a Cochabamba para competir. Last week was an incredible week. First, we hosted the Cougar Cup. There were eight schools that took part, and the competition was so good that no school took first place in more than one event. Our Cougars took first place in Girls Volleyball. Then, they took second in every other event which included: Boys Volleyball, Boys Soccer, and Girls Soccer.
At the end of last week, we celebrated the first Gala at ACS. The Gala raised more than 25,000 USD in gross contributions. This means that we met our goal, and we will be ordering the “bigger” playground equipment that many of you saw illustrated during Family Day Picnic. The Gala was a huge success, not just in terms of money raised, but also in terms of the community spirit that it expressed. We had 174 seats reserved at the Gala, and 83 items were auctioned. It was a night of remembering the past and looking forward to the future. Part of the event celebrated the 43 years of service of Esther Artieda. Students from throughout her career were present, among them were current parents, teachers, administrators, and board members. Two of her last students helped make a video to honor her at the Gala. In another note, Ms. Artieda has never stopped helping the ACS community. In fact, she is currently doing some substitute teaching in High School English. So, you may still see her around the campus.
This week is also a busy week. Tonight, our board meeting will take place at 7 PM in the Theater because our students are busily preparing the auditorium for the Haunted House. On Wednesday, we will also have our General Assembly starting at 6:30 PM in the Theater. During the General Assembly, we will celebrate student accomplishments with student performances, exhibitions of student work, and the acknowledgement of student excellence. The week will cumulate in the Elementary School Halloween Parade on Friday, followed by the Halloween fair from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
In addition, this week, we will start a weekly special breakfast with the Superintendent and a board member. We will send out random invitations to a small number of parents. If there are additional seats, each week we will invite additional parents from a waiting list. If you would like to join that list, please indicate your interest by completing the linked form. Preference will always be given to parents who have not yet attended.

La semana pasada fue una semana increíble. Primero, organizamos la Copa Cougar. Welcome back from the break. The second quarter of this year is full of some exciting events. This week, ACS will host the Cougar Cup from Tuesday to Friday. Then, the week will cumulate in the ACS Gala on Saturday. Next week, many high school students will take the PSAT, the Elementary School will celebrate book week, and our general assembly will be on the 26th. Then, that week will cumulate with the Halloween Fair from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday.
I also have some logistical changes and plans to announce. We have contracted with an external company to ensure that we have dedicated staff continually looking after all the restrooms at ACS. We want their cleanliness and hygiene to be of the highest quality. In addition, we are making changes to make a long requested service possible. We are in the process of adding additional gates that will allow parents to deliver hot lunches to their children without overburdening our staff. I know that this is a service that is very important to a number of our families. So, be on the lookout for more information once the construction is complete.
Finally, we know that our communication across the school could be improved. This quarter, we will be working on a new system that will help get the information that you need most out to you in a format that is convenient for you. In addition, we will be creating another opportunity for us to interact more directly. This will be in the form of randomized invitations to a breakfast with the superintendent. We hope to initiate this program starting next week.

Bienvenidos de vuelta luego de la vacación. El segundo trimestre de este año está lleno de emocionantes eventos. Although the month of October includes our fall break on the week of the 10th, we still have a very full calendar of activities for you and your children here at ACS. Most of our CWW trips are already in progress, with plenty of pictures of smiling faces making their way back to WhatsApp groups.
Tomorrow on October fourth, while many of the older students are on trips, we have an event for parents in our theater. It is the first in a series of three workshops entitled “Manage Your Family's Screen-Time So It Doesn't Manage You!” It starts at 9:00 AM, and you have two ways to participate. If you click the link or scan the QR code below, you will be able to register for a Zoom link that you can use from wherever you are. Alternatively, you can join us in the ACS theater, where we will watch the presentation together on the big screen. Even if you join us physically in the theater, we recommend registering for a zoom link so that you can participate in the interactive features via your telephone. After the presentation, those joining us physically can stay on for a moderated discussion with ACS staff. I hope to see you there.
When we return from fall break, ACS will host the "Cougar Cup" from the 18th through the 21st of October. We would be happy to welcome you to campus in the evenings to cheer on our Cougars. Then, on the 22nd of October, we will all be looking our best to celebrate ACS's first Gala. Tickets are still available, but they are selling out fast. Don't miss your chance to be a part of making ACS history with this new event. Finally, we will finish this month of activities with our general assembly on the 26th and the Halloween fair on the 28th.
As we bring so many events and people back to campus, I think it is an appropriate time to discuss the more sobering topic of safety. There are two safety concerns that I would like to highlight to our community, both relate to protecting children.
First, both our daily drop-off and pick up as well as our events involve considerable traffic on the roads around our entrances. We want to make sure that ACS students on foot are as visible as possible as they cross the busy roads around school. You can help us by making sure not to park on the zebra stripped cross walks, even for short amounts of time. Cars in the crosswalks, force students to cross at unusual places and decrease their visibility to other cars. Your help is greatly appreciated.
The second safety issue is also one of child protection. It is a topic that is uncomfortable to talk about. Worldwide, one in five women and one in 13 men report having been sexually abused between birth and 17 years of age. More than 90% of abusers are acquaintances or family members of the victim. While it is easy to brush off these statistics and hope that such events won't happen in our community, the fact is that they have happened in international schools around the world and in Bolivian schools. So, we must not let our guard down as we bring more events back to school. Keeping our guard up does not mean closing off our campus or limiting events, but it does mean knowing who the adults are on our campus at any moment and why they are here. We know that it is an inconvenience to sign in and leave an ID when you enter campus. By doing so, however, you are doing your part to send a message to anyone wishing to harm ACS students. The message is that we care about child protection and prioritize it in our community. Thank you for doing your part to help keep ACS students safe.

Más del 90% de los maltratadores son conocidos o familiares de la víctima. Si bien es fácil ignorar estas estadísticas y esperar que tales eventos no sucedan en nuestra comunidad, el hecho es que han sucedido en colegios internacionales alrededor del mundo y en colegios bolivianos. Por lo tanto, no debemos bajar la guardia a medida que volvamos a traer más eventos al colegio. Mantener la guardia alta no significa cerrar nuestro campus o limitar nuestros eventos, sino saber quiénes son los adultos en nuestro campus en cualquier momento y por qué están aquí. Sabemos que es un inconveniente registrarse y dejar su identificación al ingresar al campus. It was a delight to have so many community members on campus last Saturday. I met multiple families with three or more generations of ACS graduates. I also met someone who remembered playing on the duck and dolphin about sixty years ago. It made me thankful that the Gala committee has selected a place of honor on the new playground for these historic toys that form part of so many memories.

Today is a big day in the life of ACS. This afternoon, our pool will finally reopen for student swimming lessons. After numerous repairs and false starts, the water is clean and warm. Happy swimming kids!
Next Saturday, we will have the first ACS Family Day Picnic in some time. If you, like me, have never been to an ACS Family Day Picnic, you may be wondering what it is all about. The event starts at 11AM and runs until 4PM. During that time, there will be games set-up by students, faculty, and parents. There will also be plenty of food to buy and even a raffle. Most of all, it is a time for our ACS community to meet and socialize. I look forward to seeing you there.
Next month, we will be revitalizing our Cougar Parent University by partnering with the Near East South Asia council of international schools to offer a webinar series entitled Parents as Partners: Manage Your Family's Screen-time So it Doesn't Manage You. The speaker will be Joy Marchese, a renown author and the founder of Positive Discipline UK. The dates will be:

Finally, today, I would like to share with you some of my thoughts about what it means for us to strive toward our mission of being a model of excellence in educating students. When we think about being a model of excellence, I would like to shift our perspective from a local one to a global one.
In the whole world, there are only 194 schools that are recognized as by the United States Department of State as assisted schools. ACS is one of them. These schools have many similarities. Most use the same standards and curriculum that we do. They hire the same consultants, send staff to the same trainings, and compete for the same teachers. So, when I think about being a model of excellence, I think about doing so compared to these peer schools. To help with those comparisons, I compiled a list of those 194 schools in countries that border Bolivia or in countries where a current ACS student was born. The graph attached shows the grade 12 tuition at those schools. I have highlighted the local 12th grade tuition at ACS using ACS green. One thing jumps out almost immediately. That is, tuition at ACS is higher than only three other schools. You might think this can be explained by the fact that the cost of living in Bolivia is about 36% of that in the US. Unfortunately, that can't explain everything. India's cost of living is only 29% of that in the US, but the tuition at the American School of Bombay as well as the American Embassy School in New Delhi are both about $34,000 USD annually.
So, what does this have to do with excellence? I am determined to give your children the same quality of education that children are getting at these other schools, even though they are paying four and a half times the price in some cases. This will not be easy. About every expenditure, I must ask not only whether it helps us meet our mission, but whether it helps us meet our mission better than any other expenditure. We must be lean, efficient, and uncompromising in order to be a model of excellence in this sense. We must continually reexamine everything that we do.
Last year, we expended an enormous effort to put our non-academic house in order. This year we are rapidly upskilling our middle level leadership as well as our faculty with the help of external consultants. This is one of our most important expenditures as it directly impacts the quality of your child's educational experience. This is just the start. I intend to show you rapid and continuous improvement throughout the school as we chase excellence. Excellence for us will be nothing short of being the best value proposition for education in the world.

El próximo sábado tendremos el primer Picnic Familiar después de un largo tiempo. Si es que usted, al igual que yo, nunca ha asistido al Picnic familiar de ACS, se estará preguntando de qué se trata. El evento comienza a las 11:00 am y se extenderá hasta las 4:00 pm. Durante ese tiempo, habrá juegos organizados por alumnos, profesores y padres. También habrá mucha comida para comprar e incluso una rifa. Sobre todo, es un momento para que nuestra comunidad de ACS se reúna y socialice. Espero verlos ahí.

Finalmente, hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunos de mis pensamientos sobre lo que significa para nosotros luchar para que nuestra misión sea un modelo de excelencia en la educación de los alumnos. Cuando pensamos en ser un modelo de excelencia, me gustaría cambiar nuestra perspectiva de una local a una global.

It is so exciting to see opportunities for students to interact multiply. This past weekend, ACS Students participated in track, field, volleyball, basketball, and soccer at Saint Andrew's school. Whether winning or loosing, our ACS students demonstrated good sportsmanship, and I was proud to have them representing our school. The games also represented an opportunity to renew ties between schools.
For many of our families, an important reason for choosing ACS is our excellent university placement program. Our counseling team does an incredible job of guiding our students and their families through the university application process at a myriad of schools around the globe. In addition, our team guides our students in applying for scholarships and financial aid. You may be surprised to know that more than one million US dollars were offered to our graduates as financial aid last year. For secondary parents eager to know more, please look for "College Kick-off" announcements at each grade level. Our team will provide you with all you need to know to get the process started in a grade appropriate manner.

Es muy emocionante ver que las oportunidades para interactuar entre los alumnos se multipliquen. El fin de semana pasado, los alumnos de ACS participaron en atletismo, voleibol, baloncesto y fútbol en el colegio Saint Andrew’s. Ya sea que ganaran o perdieran, nuestros alumnos demostraron un buen espíritu deportivo y me enorgulleció que representaran a nuestro colegio. Los juegos deportivos también representaron una oportunidad para renovar los lazos entre colegios.
Para muchas de nuestras familias, un motivo importante para elegir ACS es nuestro excelente programa de colocación universitaria. Nuestro equipo de consejería hace un trabajo increíble para guiar a nuestros alumnos y sus familias a través del proceso de solicitud de ingreso a las universidades en una miríada de universidades alrededor del mundo. Además, nuestro equipo guía a nuestros alumnos en la solicitud de becas y ayuda financiera. Podría sorprenderle el hecho de que más de un millón de dólares americanos fueron ofrecidos a nuestros graduados como ayuda financiera. Para los padres de secundaria, ansiosos por saber más, pueden buscar los anuncios de “Inicio a la Universidad” (College Kick-off) en cada nivel de grado. Nuestro equipo le brindará todo lo que necesita saber para iniciar el proceso de manera apropiada para su grado.
