This morning we welcomed students back to school on the first physical school day of the 2025-2026 school year. As is customary, our seniors made a grand entrance accompanied by a band and their families. As they entered school for their last first day, I thought back to my first day welcoming them to ACS when they were transitioning from 7th to 8th grade. I also thought about the very first class of ACS students entering school 70 years ago who must now be in their 70s and 80s. ACS has proud traditions and a strong community. We look forward to a great 2025-2026 together.
I also want to share a photograph that I took this morning of our “temporary” cafeteria line. Bunker our new provider has done an outstanding job preparing their team to welcome our students. We look forward to a long and beneficial relationship with them.

Esta mañana dimos la bienvenida a nuestros alumnos que retornan a clases, en su primer día de clases presenciales del año escolar 2025-2026. Como es ya costumbre, nuestros alumnos del grado 12 hicieron una entrada triunfal acompañados de una banda y sus familias. Al entrar al colegio para su último primer día, recordé mi primer día, dándoles la bienvenida a ACS cuando estaban haciendo la transición de 7º a 8º grado. También pensé en la primera generación de estudiantes de ACS que ingresaron al colegio hace 70 años y que ahora deben tener entre 70 y 80 años. ACS tiene tradiciones que nos enorgullecen y una comunidad sólida. Esperamos tener un excelente 2025-2026 juntos.
También quiero compartir una foto que tomé esta mañana de nuestra fila temporal en la cafetería. Nuestro nuevo proveedor bunker ha hecho un trabajo excepcional preparando a su equipo para recibir a nuestros estudiantes. Esperamos una larga y fructífera relación con ellos.
