Dear ACS Community,
I hope you had a restful and relaxing break with your families and are ready to start Quarter 2.
I want to say a special congratulations to Bolivia for conducting a peaceful and orderly election in this significant bicentennial year. In addition, we congratulate the new president, Rodrigo Paz, and wish him the very best as he takes office. We are certainly proud that he is also an ACS parent.
This week I will accompany our teams to the Middle School Friendship Games at AISB in Cochabamba. It is always a joy to see students from the four schools come together in competition and friendship.
In addition, next week we will have our general assembly on Wednesday. In this general assembly there will be a special motion to amend the bylaws. You will soon receive additional information about this important decision.
Finally, I want to highlight an upcoming change to our published calendar. November the 14th has been declared a holiday by the authorities in La Paz. Consequently, there will be no school on that day.

Espero que hayan tenido un descanso tranquilo y reparador con sus familias y estén listos para comenzar el segundo trimestre.
Quiero felicitar especialmente a Bolivia por llevar a cabo unas elecciones pacíficas y ordenadas en este importante año del bicentenario. Además, felicitamos al nuevo presidente, Rodrigo Paz, y le deseamos lo mejor en su toma de posesión. Estamos orgullosos de que él también sea un padre de familia de ACS.
Esta semana acompañaré a nuestros equipos de Middle School a los Juegos de la Amistad en AISB en Cochabamba. Es siempre una alegría ver a los alumnos de los cuatro colegios unirse en competencia y amistad.
Además, la próxima semana tendremos nuestra asamblea general el miércoles. En esta asamblea general se presentará una moción especial para modificar los estatutos. Pronto recibirán información adicional sobre esta importante decisión.
Finalmente, quiero destacar un próximo cambio en nuestro calendario. El 14 de noviembre ha sido declarado feriado por las autoridades de La Paz. Por lo tanto, no habrá clases ese día.
