Dear ACS Community,
Today starts the last week of school in 2025. It is a very busy week with concerts, final projects, celebrations, and exams.
Thank you to everyone who came out over the weekend. Friday night we had a full house for the upper elementary school talent show. Then Saturday we had our very first homecoming event. It was wonderful to see current families, alumni, and students all enjoying competition and camaraderie together. I want to say a big thank you to Dani Sagines for organizing the event. In addition, I would like to say thank you to Andrea Zuazo and the parent committee for their role in making this event possible. Plans are already underway to make it even better next year. I was also able to give a tour of the school to a very special faculty alumnus. A few of you may remember Skip Houser and his wife Beverly. He was high school principal and later superintendent of ACS many years ago. In fact, he left in 1974. It was great to hear him reminisce about things that have changed and things that have stayed the same. He is a link to the ACS of half a century ago and his presence was a tribute to the strength of ACS's community and history. Thank you for your visit, Skip and Beverly.
Finally, I want to say thank you to Yalilie for her organization of the color run on Sunday. This year the run started and ended at the school with an explosion of colors and sound.
We wish all of our families a happy holiday and will see everyone back on the 6th of January for the first school day of 2026.

Hoy comienza la última semana de clases del 2025. Es una semana muy ajetreada con conciertos, proyectos finales, celebraciones y exámenes.
Gracias a todos los que vinieron el fin de semana. El viernes por la noche tuvimos un lleno total para el concurso de talentos de los últimos cursos de primaria. Luego, el sábado tuvimos nuestro primer evento de ‘Homecoming’. Fue maravilloso ver disfrutar a las familias actuales, exalumnos y alumnos de las competencias y la camaradería. Quiero agradecer enormemente a Dani Sagines por organizar el evento. Además, quiero agradecer a Andrea Zuazo y al comité de padres por su contribución para hacer posible este evento. Ya estamos haciendo planes para que el próximo año sea aún mejor. También tuve la oportunidad de guiar en un tour por el colegio a un exalumno muy especial de la facultad. Algunos de ustedes recordarán a Skip Houser y a su esposa Beverly. Él fue director de Secundaria y posteriormente superintendente de ACS hace muchos años. De hecho, dejó el cargo en 1974. Fue maravilloso escucharlo rememorar las cosas que han cambiado y las que siguen igual. Es un vínculo con ACS de hace medio siglo y su presencia fue un homenaje a la fortaleza de la comunidad y la historia de ACS. Gracias por su visita, Skip y Beverly.
Finalmente, quiero agradecer a Yalile por organizar la carrera de colores del domingo. Este año, la carrera empezó y terminó en el colegio con una explosión de colores y sonido.
