Dear ACS Community,
I hope all our students had a relaxing October break with their families and are excited to return to school. Thank you to everyone for having your children tested for COVID-19 if they returned to school today. I am thrilled to report we did not have a single case of COVID-19 among our faculty, staff, or students. This is despite the slight uptick in COVID-19 cases nationwide. These results support our continued efforts to move carefully and deliberately toward a greater opening of campus with COVID-19 mitigation efforts firmly in place. At the same time, the national results call for a cautious approach in which we maintain vigilance.
In this same spirit, I would like to announce an in-person format for our October General Assembly this year. We know that some of you have been ACS parents for more than a year, but have never been on the school campus. Thus, we plan to offer some tours in conjunction with the meeting. So, we are delighted to invite you to participate on Wednesday the 27th of October. We will send more details along with COVID-19 mitigation measures and an RSVP form soon. In addition, we will also live stream the event for those of you who prefer to connect from home.

Espero que todos nuestros alumnos hayan tenido unas vacaciones muy relajadas este octubre junto a sus familias y estén muy emocionados de regresar al colegio. Gracias a todos ustedes por mandar a sus hijos hoy al colegio con la prueba para COVID-19. Me complace informar que no tuvimos ni un solo caso de COVID-19 entre nuestros profesores, el personal, ni entre los alumnos a pesar del leve aumento de casos de COVID-19 en todo el país. Estos resultados respaldan nuestros continuos esfuerzos para avanzar cuidadosa y deliberadamente hacia una mayor apertura del campus con firmes esfuerzos de mitigar el COVID-19. Al mismo tiempo, los resultados nacionales obtenidos exigen que mantengamos una vigilancia cautelosa.
Con el mismo espíritu, me gustaría anunciar que nuestra Asamblea General en octubre será presencial este año. Entendemos que muchos de ustedes han sido padres de ACS por mas de un año, pero no han tenido la oportunidad de ingresar al campus del colegio. Por lo tanto, planeamos ofrecer algunos tours cuando tengamos la Asamblea. Por esta razón, tenemos el gusto de invitarlos a participar el miércoles 27 de octubre. Enviaremos mayor información junto con las medidas de bioseguridad del COVID-19 y un formulario de RSVP muy pronto.
Adicionalmente, transmitiremos en vivo el evento para los que prefieran conectarse a la Asamblea desde sus domicilios.
