Dear ACS Community,
This week marks a momentous event in the life of ACS. We are now offering a fully presencial modality. While we don't know what the future holds, cases continue to drop in La Paz as well as the country as a whole. So, I make this announcement in a mood of celebration and in a mood of thanks. We celebrate the fact that all of our students have the opportunity to be back on campus full time. We also thank our teachers and our parents for all the sacrifices that they have made to ensure that ACS students had high-quality education through all the ups and downs that our community has experienced. Of course, the pandemic is not yet over, but it feels wonderful to be able to mark this positive milestone. Furthermore, we will be restarting extracurricular activities next week. Our athletic and activities directors have been hard at work preparing a full slate of activities to engage students. Please be on the lookout for more information.
In other news around the school, MAP testing started this week in the secondary school and will start next week in elementary.
For our longer-term COVID-19 outlook, we intend to keep biosecurity precautions high through the Carnival break. As many students and families gather during this holiday, our tentative plan is to require COVID-19 tests again to return to school after the holiday. Provided the situation continues to improve, we will then reexamine our biosecurity measures to make sure they are consistent with the risk. Along these lines, if you have any special circumstances or needs related to our biosecurity measures, please don't hesitate to contact our school doctor. She can often help.
Once again, we are delighted to give all ACS students the opportunity to come to campus every day.

Esta semana está marcada por un evento trascendental en la vida de ACS. Ahora estamos ofreciendo una modalidad totalmente presencial. Si bien no sabemos qué nos deparará el futuro, los casos continúan disminuyendo en La Paz y en todo el país en general. Por lo tanto, hago este anuncio con ánimo de celebración y de agradecimiento. Celebramos el hecho de que todos nuestros alumnos tengan la oportunidad de regresar al colegio a tiempo completo. También agradecemos a nuestros profesores y padres de familia por todos los sacrificios que han hecho para garantizar que los alumnos de ACS tengan una educación de alta calidad a pesar de todos los altibajos que ha experimentado nuestra comunidad. Entre otras noticias sobre el colegio, las pruebas de MAP han comenzado esta semana en el nivel secundario y comenzarán la próxima semana en el nivel primario.
La perspectiva que tenemos a largo plazo en el tema a COVID-19, tenemos la intención de mantener alta las precauciones de bioseguridad hasta después de la vacaciones de Carnaval. Debido a que muchos de nuestros alumnos y familias se reúnen durante estas vacaciones, nuestro plan tentativo es exigir pruebas de COVID-19 nuevamente para regresar al colegio después de estas vacaciones. Siempre que la situación continúe mejorando volveremos a examinar nuestras medidas de bioseguridad para asegurarnos de que sean consistentes con el riesgo. En este sentido, si usted tiene alguna circunstancia o necesidad especial relacionada con nuestras medidas de bioseguridad, no dude en contactarse con nuestro médico escolar. La doctora puede ayudar a resolver su duda.
