We have a number of activities that you can be involved in this week. First, we are pleased to invite you to the second installment of our Parents as Partners / Cougar Parent University Series entitled, "Manage Your Family’s Screen-Time So It Doesn’t Manage You!" with Joy Marchese. In the first session Joy helped us to see a truth that we parents might not like to hear. Namely, that we struggle managing our screen time just as much as our children do. She also gave us some techniques and skills to help our families explore this area together. Now, we invite everyone to return to this topic tomorrow (Tuesday) in our theater at 10 AM. You can also join us virtually from wherever you are. If you come to the theater, we welcome you to stay on after the session for a short conversation with our counselors and technology teachers. Later on Wednesday, the Middle School Cougar Cup will begin and run through Saturday. Please don't miss this chance to cheer our Cougars on to victory.
On Friday, I will again host a breakfast with randomly selected parents. If not a large enough number of parents accept, we will also send invitations to those who wish to come sooner. Please indicate your interest in being on this list by completing the linked form.
Finally, on Saturday the 19th of November, we will host a KG3 Open House. This is an important event during which we showcase our school to our youngest potential students. It starts at 10 AM. If you know of anyone with young children who might desire an ACS education for them, please don't hesitate to invite them to our open house.

Tenemos una serie de actividades en las que puede participar esta semana. En primer lugar, nos complace invitarlos a la segunda presentación de nuestra serie Padres como Socios / Universidad Cougar para Padres titulada “¡Administre el Tiempo de Pantalla de su Familia para que éste no lo controle a usted!” con Joy Marchese. En la primera sesión, Joy nos ayudó a ver una verdad que a los padres tal vez no nos gustaría escuchar. Por ejemplo, que nos cuesta administrar nuestro tiempo frente a la pantalla tanto como a nuestros hijos. También nos dio algunas técnicas y habilidades para ayudar a nuestras familias a explorar esta área juntos. Ahora, invitamos a todos a retomar este tema mañana (martes) en nuestro teatro a las 10 am. También pueden unirse a nosotros virtualmente desde donde se encuentren. Si vienen al teatro, los invitamos a quedarse después de la sesión para tener una breve conversación con nuestros consejeros y profesores de tecnología. Luego, el miércoles comenzará la Copa Cougar de Middle School y se extenderá hasta el sábado. Por favor no pierdan esta oportunidad de alentar a nuestros Cougars hacia la victoria.

Finalmente, el sábado 19 de noviembre tendremos una jornada de puertas abiertas de KG3. Este es un evento importante durante el cual mostramos nuestro colegio a nuestros alumnos potenciales más jóvenes. Comenzará a las 10:00 am. Si conocen a alguien con niños pequeños que deseen una educación de ACS para ellos, no duden en invitarlos a nuestra jornada de puertas abiertas.
