Dear ACS Community,
Welcome back from the break. The second quarter of this year is full of some exciting events. This week, ACS will host the Cougar Cup from Tuesday to Friday. Then, the week will cumulate in the ACS Gala on Saturday. Next week, many high school students will take the PSAT, the Elementary School will celebrate book week, and our general assembly will be on the 26th. Then, that week will cumulate with the Halloween Fair from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday.
I also have some logistical changes and plans to announce. We have contracted with an external company to ensure that we have dedicated staff continually looking after all the restrooms at ACS. We want their cleanliness and hygiene to be of the highest quality. In addition, we are making changes to make a long requested service possible. We are in the process of adding additional gates that will allow parents to deliver hot lunches to their children without overburdening our staff. I know that this is a service that is very important to a number of our families. So, be on the lookout for more information once the construction is complete.
Finally, we know that our communication across the school could be improved. This quarter, we will be working on a new system that will help get the information that you need most out to you in a format that is convenient for you. In addition, we will be creating another opportunity for us to interact more directly. This will be in the form of randomized invitations to a breakfast with the superintendent. We hope to initiate this program starting next week.

Bienvenidos de vuelta luego de la vacación. El segundo trimestre de este año está lleno de emocionantes eventos. Esta semana, el ACS será el anfitrión de la Copa Cougar desde el martes hasta el viernes. Luego, la semana culminará con la Gala de ACS el día sábado. La próxima semana, muchos alumnos de secundaria tomarán el examen del PSAT, la escuela de primaria celebrará la semana del libro, y nuestra asamblea General será el 26. Luego, esa semana culminará con la Feria de Halloween de 6:30 a 8:30 pm el viernes.
También tengo algunos cambios logísticos y planes para anunciar. Hemos contratado a una empresa externa para garantizar que tengamos personal dedicado que se ocupe continuamente de todos los baños de ACS. Queremos que su limpieza e higiene sea de la máxima calidad. Adicionalmente, estamos haciendo cambios para hacer posible un servicio largamente solicitado. Estamos en el proceso de agregar puertas adicionales que permitan a los padres entregar almuerzos calientes a sus hijos sin sobrecargar a nuestro personal. Sé que este es un servicio muy importante para varias de nuestras familias, por lo tanto esté atento a mayor información una vez que se complete la construcción.
Finalmente, sabemos que nuestra comunicación en todo el colegio podría mejorarse. Este trimestre, trabajaremos en un nuevo sistema que le ayudará a obtener la información que más necesita en un formato que le resulte conveniente. Además, estaremos creando una nueva oportunidad para que interactuemos más directamente. Esto será en forma de invitaciones aleatorias a un desayuno con el superintendente. Esperamos iniciar este programa a partir de la próxima semana.
