Dear ACS Community,
This will be my last message of 2022. This year has been a year of change for ACS. If you recall, last year at this time we had to go virtual due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. Luckily, as the year progressed the pandemic receded further into the past, and we came roaring back with many events and activities. After the long absence of activities, I hope you will forgive us if we erred on the side of having too many.
I also want to say thank you to the groups of parents, students, and staff members who participated in the interviews of our candidates for the director of learning and teaching position. There was a great deal of commonality in the feedback that came from all the groups. So, we hope to make an offer soon.
In addition, you may have noticed a few facilities changes around campus. By popular request, we have installed some additional sun shades for the outdoor tables, and our bathrooms now have hooks on which to hang belongings. Thank you to those who alerted us to these needs and thereby helped make the campus more comfortable for everyone.
If you think that something that belongs to you might be in our lost and found, please make it a priority to check during this week. We still have numerous items, and after Wednesday, we will be donating the lost and found to charity.
Finally, I want to wish all of you a joyful holiday season with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing faculty back on the 11th and students on the 12th of January.

Este será mi último mensaje de 2022. Este año ha sido un año de cambios para ACS. Si recuerdan bien, el año pasado en esta época, tuvimos que volver a la enseñanza virtual debido a un aumento en los casos de COVID-19. Afortunadamente, a medida que fue avanzando el año, la pandemia retrocedió más hacia el pasado y regresamos con muchos eventos y actividades. Después de una larga ausencia de actividades, espero que nos perdonen si nos equivocamos al tener demasiadas.
También quiero agradecer a los grupos de padres, alumnos y miembros del personal que participaron en las entrevistas de nuestros candidatos para el puesto de director de aprendizaje y enseñanza. Hubo una gran cantidad de puntos en común en los comentarios que provinieron de todos los grupos. Por lo tanto, esperamos hacer una oferta pronto.
Además, habrán notado algunos cambios en las instalaciones del campus. Por petición popular, hemos instalado unos parasoles adicionales en las mesas exteriores, y nuestros baños ahora cuentan con ganchos para colgar las pertenencias. Agradecemos a quienes nos alertaron sobre estas necesidades y, por lo tanto, ayudaron a que el campus sea más cómodo para todos.
Si creen que algo que le pertenece podría estar entre los objetos perdidos y encontrados, hagan que sea una prioridad verificarlo durante esta semana. Todavía tenemos numerosos artículos, y después del miércoles, donaremos los objetos perdidos y encontrados a organizaciones benéficas.
