Dear ACS Community,
The year is moving very quickly, and today marks the start of the final quarter of the year. Here at school, we are already making plans for next year. To help us with that planning, please complete the survey that you recently received from our admissions office, indicating whether you intend to enroll next year or not. In addition, next month on the 27th of April we will have the final general assembly of the year in which we will elect new board members.
Being a school board member is not easy. While the administration is largely responsible for the school of today, the board is responsible for steering ACS toward the school of tomorrow. Our present board has taken this responsibly very seriously, both from a strategic perspective as well as rolling up their sleeves and using their considerable professional abilities to offer of their time and talents. They have not only dealt with urgent needs, but most importantly have started processes that will secure the future of ACS. I feel very fortunate to have been able to work with such a talented and committed group. New board members will join this highly engaged, fast-moving group of trustees who hold themselves to a very high standard.
For parents interested in learning more about serving on the Board of Trustees, please remember to RSVP for the Wine & Cheese on Thursday, March 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 at the home of Maggie and Matt Franke. The final day to RSVP is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29. You can RSVP to Maggie Franke at the email linked in this message (maggie.franke@acslp.org).
For everyone, please be on the lookout for an RSVP form for next month's general assembly, and instructions on how to cast your vote.
Finally, I want to thank the community for spreading the word about the importance of on time payments. As you can see from the graph below, we have made some progress, but we still have a significant gap to close. Thank you for your continued efforts.

Este año está pasando rápidamente y hoy día marca el comienzo del último trimestre del año. Aquí en el colegio ya estamos haciendo planes para el siguiente año. Para poder ayudarnos con este plan, por favor complete el formulario que recibió de la oficina de admisiones indicando si tienen o no la intención de inscribirse para el próximo año escolar. Adicionalmente, el próximo mes, el 27 de Abril tendremos la última asamblea general del año en la que eligiremos a los nuevos miembros del directorio.
Ser un miembro del directorio escolar no es fácil. Si bien la administración es mayormente responsable por el colegio, el directorio es responsable de dirigir ACS hacia el colegio de mañana. El presente directorio ha tomado esta responsabilidad muy seriamente tanto desde una perspectiva estratégica como arremangándose y utilizando sus considerables habilidades profesionales para ofrecer su tiempo y talento. Ellos no sólo se han encargan de las necesidades urgentes, sino, lo que es mas importante, también han comenzado procesos que asegurarán el futuro de ACS. Me siento muy afortunado de trabajar con un grupo tan talentoso y comprometido. Los nuevos miembros del directorio que se van a unir, es a un grupo talentoso y altamente comprometidos y dinámico que se mantienen a sí mismos con un estándar muy alto.
Para los padres interesados en obtener más información acerca de cómo servir en la Junta Directiva, le mandamos un recordatorio para confirmar su asistencia para el evento de vinos y quesos este jueves 31 de marzo de 5:30pm a 7:30pm en la casa de Maggie and Matt Franke.
